About the National Emergency Generator Dealer Association (NEGDA)

The National Emergency Generator Dealer Association (NEGDA) is a trade association dedicated exclusively to supporting generator dealers across the United States. NEGDA was founded more than 13 years ago by a small group of independent generator dealers who began meeting informally to share resources, exchange operational insights, and learn from one another’s real-world experience. What started as regional collaboration grew steadily as dealers recognized the value of structured peer engagement.
In 2022, that collaboration formally evolved into a trade association—because there was no organization serving the specific, practical needs of generator dealerships in a focused and meaningful way.
Today, NEGDA continues to build on that foundation.
Our Structure & Governance
NEGDA was founded by generator dealers, is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of generator dealers, and exists exclusively to serve the needs of generator dealers.
Board members serve voluntarily. There are no personal financial incentives or gains realized by the organization or its Board of Directors.
Our structure ensures that NEGDA remains:

- Mission-focused
- Independent in governance
- Centered on member value
