Financial Performance, Sales Incentives & Industry Outlook
Dealer-Only Peer Roundtable | Virtual | February 4
In 2026, NEGDA is shifting its virtual meetings to peer-led roundtables — and this session sets the tone.
This 90-minute virtual discussion is designed specifically for generator dealers who want to better understand how peers are measuring performance, incentivizing teams, and planning for what’s ahead.
Rather than presentations or panels, this session is structured to encourage open, candid sharing — what’s working, what’s changing, and what dealers across the country are seeing in real time.
Discussion Topics Include
- Financial metrics dealers actually use to run their businesses
- Sales and technician SPIFs, bonuses, and incentive structures
- Balancing incentives with profitability
- Expansion considerations and growth signals
- Industry trends, challenges, and near-term outlook
Why Peer Roundtables?
Based on ongoing member feedback, NEGDA has heard a consistent theme:
dealers want more opportunity to openly discuss real business practices with their peers.
Our 2026 virtual meetings are intentionally designed as peer roundtables to create space for those conversations — the kind that don’t happen in formal presentations or scripted sessions.
This format is only as valuable as participants’ willingness to engage.
We are not sharing proprietary data.
We are not defining “best practices.”
Instead, we are creating a trusted, dealer-only environment where you can:
- Hear what’s working (and what’s not) for other dealers
- Compare approaches and perspectives
- Walk away with ideas, context, and inspiration to level up your own business
This requires showing up prepared to participate — even if it means stepping slightly outside your comfort zone. Growth often comes from hearing how others operate, asking questions, and being open to discussion rather than remaining on the sidelines.
Who Should Attend
This session is open to dealers only.
NEGDA memberships are company-wide, and dealers are encouraged to invite additional staff to attend.
Including team members:
- Exposes them to a broader industry perspective
- Helps them build a professional peer network
- Provides insights that may spark new ideas or improvements within your business
What to Expect
This is a 90-minute, dealer-only peer roundtable, not a presentation.
You can expect:
- A structured, moderated discussion designed to give many voices time to participate
- Open, candid conversation focused on real-world business practices
- Practical insights drawn from peer experience — what’s working, what’s changing, and what’s not
To ensure broad participation, the session will:
- Use time limits on individual shares
- Be facilitated to keep discussion focused and moving
- Prioritize learning from peers rather than arriving at a single “right answer”
This format works best when participants are prepared to listen, contribute, and engage.
How to Prepare
To get the most value from this roundtable, we encourage you to come prepared to:
- Share examples at a high level (no proprietary or confidential details)
- Speak to what you’re seeing in your business, not what you think others want to hear
- Ask questions and learn from peers across different markets and business models
You don’t need slides or formal data — just real perspective.
Participation is encouraged, but how much you share is always your choice. That said, the value of peer roundtables increases significantly when participants are willing to engage rather than observe.
If you’re willing to listen, share, and learn from peers who understand your business, this roundtable is for you.
